WHARF STREET ROAD CLOSURE
This notice serves to inform all Ndlambe Municipality residents about the permanent closure of the road at the Wharf Street due to the contractor currently installing the sewer pipeline on Wharf Street.
The closure will affect Wharf Street for two (2) days to facilitate the connection of our sewer line from Berega Pump Station to Manholes BO105 and BO44 across the road. Businesses at Wharf Street will remain unaffected. Wastewater treatment works and residents along that area will be able to exit via proceeding towards town (Port Alfred).
2 x Flagmen will control traffic access and will be stationed at Dickenson Drive (SPCA Rd), and at the Wreck pump Station.
A ROAD CLOSED sign will remain at the top on Bathurst Intersection. The two closed points lower down will also have ROAD CLOSED signs.
The effective dates for notice of closure will be from 22nd January 2025 until the completion date of 24 of January 2025

WATER SERVICES
This notice serves to inform all Port Alfred residents that the 1.3ML Main Reservoir located
at the Port Alfred Water Treatment Works will be scoured on Thursday 16 January 2025.
This scouring is part of our scheduled reservoir maintenance activities. This procedure is
essential to remove accumulated sediment and ensure the continued provision of clean and
safe drinking water.
To minimise disruptions, all service reservoirs have been filled in advance. We anticipate
minimal interruptions to the water supply during this maintenance activity. However,
residents in higher-lying areas may experience low water pressure during the process.
We apologise for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance may cause and thank you
for your understanding and cooperation.
